Color of the Year: Emerald

Last year it was tangerine, the year before it was honeysuckle. Pantone has declared 2013 the year of emerald. Green is my favorite color, so this news is great! How are you going to wear your emerald green: as a pop of color with neutrals? monochromatic? statement piece?

Crop Tops

A few months ago Fashion Indie schooled us on the dos and don’ts of crop tops. Since they’re back this summer, I think it is a good idea to reinforce the don’ts and take a look at some good options that encompass the dos.

Just say no to: belly buttons, spaghetti straps and low rider pants. If you live in a hot climate and are brave, here are the dos: color blocking , 1950′s influence and high waisted pants and skirts.
